After take-off you will enjoy views of Christchurch City and the spectacular Southern Alps before your pilot whisks you away on a ten minute flight to the banks of the Waimakariri River. Waiting for you will be the award-winning Alpine Jet Thrills boat ready to blast you down the magnificent braided river at great speed and under great control with their highly trained drivers.
Drift around the sweeping river bends in just a few centimetres of water and experience 360 degree spins whilst you immerse yourself in the magnificent landscape. Then it’s back on board for the return flight across the Canterbury Plains.
You’ll still be buzzing, but when you arrive back at base you will have a chance to catch your breath and reflect on a truly amazing experience.
With your choice of the Lower Waimak – Air Boat or the Upper Waimak – Heli Jet experiences.

Departing our helibase you will fly low level along the braided shallows and up into the Waimakariri Gorge to Adventure Park base to your waiting JetBoat.
Explore the Canyon on a 20 mins Adventure Safari following the river as it winds into the foothills of the Southern Alps Centre before winging your way back to Christchurch Heliport.
