Board your Cessna 206 Floatplane at the Taupo Lake Front Boat Harbour and get ready for the unique experience of taking off on the water in an aeroplane!!
After getting airborne, fly across Acacia Bay to Rangatira Point.
View crystal clear waters then climb up through the Mapara Valley to view red scoria quarries before passing across the headwaters of the Waikato River then to the bubbling mud pools and steam vents of “Craters of the Moon” thermal area.
The flight path will then pass over the bore fields of the Wairakei Power station, following the maze of pipe work to the power station itself followed by an aerial circuit of the magnificent Huka Falls, then over the town, and coming in to land along Taupo’s lakefront
